GET INVOLVED

There are many ways you can make a difference in the lives of pets today, depending on how much time, money, and energy you are willing and able to spend. Below you will find several ideas that you can implement any time you'd like.

Adopt

Adopt a pet from your local animal rescue or animal shelter. There are wonderful pets just waiting for a forever home! Each pet you adopt frees up a space for another pet to be saved!

Foster

If you can't commit to adopting, or would like to take time to find a pet that's right for your family, you might like to try fostering. Contact your local animal rescue or animal shelter for information specific to their program.

Sponsor

If you don't have the time for a pet (or another pet), sponsoring is another good way to help. Contact your local animal rescue to see if they have any pets they need a sponsor for. Many rescues are short on funding and must rely on sponsorships to take on new pets with extensive medical issues.

Volunteer

If you are short on money but have plenty of time, volunteering is an excellent way to help! From petting and walking dogs, to transporting pets, there's always a need for volunteers at animal rescues and animal shelters.

Donate

Donations are always needed at animal rescues. Donations can be money (always needed!) or goods: food, litter, crates, beds, toys, etc... Even your diabetic supplies or old discarded t-shirts, towels, and ratty blankets are perfect donations for animal rescues! Contact a rescue in your area to find out what they need or if they can take what you have. Animal shelters almost always accept donations too, especially bedding and toys.

Educate

We can always use more animal lovers like you - not only to network and cross-post pet and rescue needs, but  to spread awareness of the need for adoption, spaying & neutering, vaccinating, and properly identifying pets.
